Thickety wolf (sort of.)

I've been reading this book series called The Thickety by J,A,White.
An in this book series there where wolves that where skeletons. They where made of this plants an there eyes flowers, there skeleton made of red thorny plaint and in there chest beat a mound of dirt beating like a heart.

An I loved the them of these plant monsters. So I tried drawing one but I ended up focusing to much on the skeleton, that I forgot to make the bone plant like instead of bone like.
So realizing this far to late I just added some plaints growing on it.
